Aarhus Nordvestre Rotary Club
welcomes all participants to Camp 2005 with the theme Youth Exchange. Modern Vikings. FromJuly 22 nd to August 5 th 2005 in Aarhus.
Aarhus is often described as “the smallest big city in the World”. It is located in Jutland and has nearly 300.000 inhabitants in the region. Aarhus has a domestic airport linked to Copenhagen Airport and train links Aarhus Railway Station to Copenhagen and Hamburg.
The Camp Programme is an attractive cocktail mixed with Viking Events (Viking Boat Navigation; Viking Olympic Games); Excursions (the Danish West Coast); Get-together-Events (Food from Europe, Danish Christmas) and many other networking activities.
During the Camp all participants will learn about the Vikings, but mainly about Denmark and Danes today. And of course their colleagues – representing different countries, cultures and habits, will inspire them. Arriving on July 21 st 2005 the first 6 nights will be spend at home with Rotary-families. The Camp headquarter will be at the
Sports Academy Aarhus
. Incl. access to sports/leisure facilities and The Camp-Party.
The actual supply of virtual communication tools has inspired us to open up for chat-rooms/forums before, during and after the Camp. Modern Vikings communicate – a lot.
Best regards
